My students call me Mrs. Mac.
I’m a mother of two and a certified art teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience.
The Big Ideas MissionAfter creating a child-led classroom studio and witnessing the magic of a process-based art education, I’ve made it my mission to ensure all kids have access to a place where their ideas are celebrated and supported and all art teachers have access to high-quality resources that actually meet their unique needs.
At Big Ideas Art Studio, I celebrate and nurture each child’s innate creativity. Forget the cookie-cutter projects and rigid instructions; I focus on teaching kids how to make their own art, allowing their imagination to truly soar.

Because kids are already artists, fully capable and brimming with BIG ideas – ideas capable of solving problems and changing the world.

So, I designed an online program with these beliefs and questions in mind, drawing on the latest research in child development and art education and putting choice, individualization, and playful exploration at the forefront.
