Privacy Policy
Last updated July 07, 2025

Welcome!
This page explains how I collect, use, and protect your information here at Big Ideas Art Studio. I believe in being transparent, respectful, and clear about how your data is handled. If you have any questions, reach out to me anytime at nicole@bigideasartstudio.com.

Key Points:

    • ✅ I NEVER sell your data.
    • 🕵️‍♀️ I only collect info to improve your experience.
    • 📧 Your privacy is a top priority.

Click any section below to learn more about how I collect, use, and protect your information.

Information You Provide:

  • Names, emails, usernames, and passwords (so I can create your account and enable your secure log-in)
  • Payment info — processed securely through Stripe (I never see your full credit card details)
  • Billing addresses — used only for payment verification and receipts

Automatically Collected Info:

  • IP address, device details, location, and browser type (to help keep your account secure)
  • Usage data — things like clicks and page visits, collected anonymously to improve the site

I only use your information for essential functions that help run the studio smoothly and support your creative experience. Here’s how I use it:

  • Create and manage your account – so you can log in, access lessons, and keep track of your progress
  • Deliver content and respond to requests – sending class links, offering feedback on submitted art, or answering questions
  • Process payments – securely, through Stripe (I never see your full credit card number)
  • Improve your experience – like noticing which pages are popular so I can make the site better
  • Provide feedback and run community features – such as testimonials or student galleries (always with your permission)
  • Prevent fraud and ensure safety – keeping your account and data protected from misuse

I do not use your data for advertising or tracking you across the internet. Everything collected has a purpose—and that purpose is to support you while keeping things safe and simple.

I don’t sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. The only time your data is shared is with trusted services that help me run this site — like Stripe, which securely processes your payments.

Stripe is a leading, industry-standard payment platform trusted by millions of businesses worldwide, and your payment details are handled entirely through their secure system. I never see or store your full credit card information.

These providers only receive the information they need to do their job, and they’re required to protect it too.

Sometimes I link to helpful, educational websites or tools (like YouTube) that I believe may support your creative journey. I only share links I trust and would use myself, but since I don’t control those sites, I can’t guarantee how they handle your data.

These links are always optional — everything you need to participate is hosted privately and securely right here on this site.

If you choose to explore an external site, I recommend reviewing their privacy policy before sharing any personal information.

I only keep your information for as long as it’s needed to run the services you signed up for — typically for the life of your account. If you decide to leave, I’ll delete your data unless I’m legally required to keep certain details (like payment records for taxes or bookkeeping).

I regularly review what’s stored and securely delete anything that’s no longer necessary. I keep things lean, safe, and purposeful — no extra data hanging around just in case.

I use trusted tools and follow current best practices to keep your information secure — including encrypted connections, secure payment processing, and account protection measures.

That said, no online system is 100% foolproof. I encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and to be mindful about the information you share online — both here and elsewhere.

You’re in control of your information, and I’m here to support that. At any time, you can:

  • View or update your account details
  • Request to delete your account and associated data
  • Withdraw consent for how your data is used
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails (without affecting access to your membership)
  • Reach out with questions or concerns about your data

Depending on where you live — like in the EU or California — you may have additional privacy rights under local laws. If you ever need help exercising your rights, just let me know and I’ll do my best to guide you through it.

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting to request that websites don’t collect certain data. Right now, there isn’t a consistent standard for how sites should respond to these signals — so my site doesn’t currently respond to them.

If standards change or support becomes more widely adopted, I’ll update this policy to reflect that.

If you live in California, you have specific privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). These include the right to:

  • Request details about the personal information I’ve collected or shared
  • Ask for your data to be deleted
  • Opt out of any future data sales (though I don’t sell your information — ever)
  • Designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf

I take your privacy seriously and aim to meet or exceed CCPA standards.

I may update this privacy notice occasionally to stay aligned with new laws, tools, or best practices. If anything changes, I’ll post the revised version right here on this page and update the “Last Revised” date at the top of the page.

I encourage you to check back once in a while to stay informed, but I’ll always do my best to communicate major changes clearly.

You may submit a request to view, update, or delete your data using this request form or by emailing nicole@bigideasartstudio.com.

If you have any questions about this privacy notice or how your information is handled, I’m happy to help. Just email me at nicole@bigideasartstudio.com, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
