Collage Papers & Objects (Visuals)

Collage can begin with so much more than a stack of construction paper! These Collage Possibilities visual lists help young artists notice the wide range of papers, objects, textures, and found materials that can become part of a collage.

The resource includes two kid-friendly reference pages: Collage Paper Possibilities and Collage Object Possibilities. From recycled papers and old artwork to beads, fabric scraps, leaves, buttons, yarn, and more, the lists are designed to expand kids’ ideas about what collage materials can be while still encouraging them to discover possibilities of their own.

Use the lists as a classroom or studio visual, material-gathering guide, collage-center reference, or brainstorming tool before kids begin creating. They’re especially helpful for encouraging experimentation, resourcefulness, and looking at everyday materials with an artist’s eye.
